It's past my bedtime and I've been falling asleep sitting way too long at this screen waiting for all of these pictures to upload. I had to get them on here because they are nice pictures of a special day we want to remember. Erin had her first official riding lesson today. She's ridden quite a bit and she has had instruction but never lessons. It went well and she'll be doing this weekly. My girl is happy and I'm... going to bed.
ohh I think I share the same love with Erin, when I was young I always had a horse an I miss it so much!

Oh, she is wearing the cutest outfit ever! LOVE her boots! That horse has the face of a dream.
ReplyDeleteShe looks beautiful and confident! Thanks for sharing and I hope you got a good night's sleep :)
ReplyDeleteYou sounds just like me. Tired most of the time especially when the time changes.
ReplyDeleteI love the humorous pictures and also the serious one of Erin and her horse. She's a beautiful horse whisperer. JB
Beautiful animal. Erin must be over the moon with happiness.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for your Erin, she looks so happy on the horse. When y'all finally make it here for a visit she will be all set to ride with my daughter in-law, Ashley. I hope you got some much need rest and are taking care of yourself Debbie, it's important!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
I love the photos and the smile on Erin's face...priceless!
ReplyDeleteHow fun and exciting for her! Thanks for taking the time to upload and share your pictures from the day!
ReplyDeleteVery nice pictures. I am so happy for you all. I hope you got a great nights sleep, have a fun day today.
ReplyDeleteSipping coffee and catching up on my blog reading this morning. Debbie, your photos truly paint a picture here of your daughter's memorable day. Thanks for sharing with us. I have to tell you that my AnnaLynn came to me in tears last week with these words, "Mom, why did God give me a love for horses when we can't have one?" Your Erin's patience is providing hope for my girl. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings, ~Lisa
PS: Enjoy your salads...
Yea Erin, good job, you look like a natural on the horse! xo
ReplyDeleteShe looks happy and I love the things you found to take pictures of while you were waiting patiently for the lesson to end. The barrels and the fencing are my favorites. You have such an interesting eye....you show me things that I would see if I was there....
ReplyDeleteOh, and that button bracelet...might need to see close ups of that pretty...please.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I am so glad to know that I am not the only one who has fallen asleep--er, "sat way too long"--in front of the computer. Yikes! I often "visit" at nighttime, and the eyes are sometimes overcome.
ReplyDeleteErin looks like a happy girl on her horse! What a joy for her to have this dream realized!
Yes, we are all well now, car included. ;-) And although there is a party theme chosen for this year's party, it will indeed be hard to top last year's. I do get a little obsessed with party planning, but I usually manage to go the cheap route. I hope to share a few pictures of the French party sometime this week.
Hope that your last day with Hannah was all that the girls dreamed it would be. It will be so hard to say good-bye...but what sweet memories will linger...
Hugs to you, my friend...
nothing beats the first official riding lesson~
ReplyDeletehere's hoping for a wonderful continuing experience.
Blessings
Karen
awww, she looks happy and gorgeous. I love all the photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love the shape similarites of the first four photos..not sure if it was intentianal or not. Stunning photography! My little sister saved for years for a horse and at 15 bought one. She still continues to care for and pay for him herself!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for Erin and I love the photos.
ReplyDeleteI like her boots!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the beginning of the beginning!
Way to go Erin! Enjoy your lessons.
ReplyDeleteYeah for your girl. My girls love their riding lessons. I love the perspective photo of the rail fence and the yellow barrel.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely day.
What great pictures...I especially love the wooden fence.
ReplyDeleteI stopped by to tell you that you won the bag pattern from my give-away. Could you please stop by my etsy shop (there is a link on my blog)and "conversation" me with your email address so that I can send it to you? That way you won't have to leave your email in a comment. I hope you like it!

Debbie, this is such a photo essay! I love the way you put it together, and I love the story it tells. She does look happy. I wish I weren't afraid to ride horses. I got clotheslined as a kid. Now, I'm no spring chicken but still a saddle chicken.
ReplyDeleteHaving spent many an hour at the stables while my daughter would ride I know exactly what you mean about what makes her happy makes you happy. But as you have so well shown, the photo possibilities are limitless!
ReplyDeleteI must admit as I was enjoying your roll of pictures, I was thinking downloading must have taken quite a spell of time. But aren't you glad you did? I am.
These are some sweet, memorable photos for your family. They are worth all of your time and effort you put into it! Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteHappy 1st day of Spring!!!
xoxo...Gloria
I am so happy for her! I understand her joy - I see it in my girls everyday!
