Our days are quickly rushing by... the days with our Montana girl. Our house is always full of girly sounds but this past week it's been in stereo. Lots of giggles and squeals. Did you know that 14 year olds will still giggle and squeal at just about anything when they are in the mood? We have nothing impressive on the calendar for her last days with us, just being together as they do what we always do making ordinary things seem extraordinary. There is talk about her stealing Audrey home with her. I've threatened to keep her. Both of these seem like viable options... to them.
On the needles, my One Pound Baby Jacket is coming along beautifully. I ran out of yarn once again, having to whip up another skein. After waiting for it to dry I quickly used it up and now need to spin the last ounce and a half of the full pound. It should be just about right. All I have left is to bind off the front, stitch the hood to the back neckline and crochet around the front adding button loops. I'm loving it!
Blessings, Debbie
I can hardly wait to see the finished product. You are very talented.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad there are happy squeals in your home and the girls are getting to spend this time together.
ReplyDeleteI had 'forgotten' girls squeal until the wee one came along and I heard that sound again!
Happy girls will squeal. I'm looking forward to seeing you one pound jacket. You make it sound so easy, JB
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with fouteen year old squeals! :) Much to be preferred over 14-years olds tears.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy day. ...Marsha
Can't wait to see the jacket - sad thing is that whatever baby gets the treasure will not get to wear it until next winter!!
ReplyDeleteThe best kind of days are ordinary days... especially ones that include friends
ReplyDeleteYou are skilled...glad you are enjoying the day to day...it is in these things that our lives are made!
ReplyDeleteDeanna
Lovely, happy sounds and sights at your house...blessings all! ♥
ReplyDeleteSounds like your days are full of love and laughter! Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteBolt the doors. Quick! Love friends that just fit right in. Enjoy the giggles. I'm sure you will. Your baby jacket is becoming epic! Can't wait to see what it looks like finished.
ReplyDeleteWow ~ how nice to be able to just "whip up more yarn when you need it" ! I have three girls, two of which are two years apart...they have the same friends which is so nice ~ so know all about those "giggles". Just wondering...were you participating in the horse show or spectating? Looks like fun no matter what!
ReplyDeleteOh, that yarn looks so soft. But how do you not go cross eyed?
ReplyDeleteJust whipped up a skein, did you? Just whipped it right up. You amaze and inspire me, and that's no lie. I can't even handle the needling part of knitting with these ten left thumbs. Let's just say that everything I knit ends up looking like a pennant and leave it at that.
ReplyDeleteAnd have I ever mentioned that your girls make me think "peaches and cream"? They do. I love that.
