It was a beautiful day. The trio of girls headed out to walk the town in their t-shirts and sunglasses! I thought they were crazy until I stepped out myself. Just beautiful. There was a moment around noon that the breeze began to pick up and I got nervous. I thought, "here it comes." But it really was just that, a breeze and nothing more. In fact, it blew out quicker than it blew in and still we were warm in our shirt sleeves. When I finally got the kind of curious that makes you check the weather station for a temperature I was shocked to know that we had done it. We reached seventy degrees today!
Obviously these photos are not from today but from this 'winter'. You know, day before yesterday. Can we all say it again? Schizophrenic... nay, bi-polar. This weather deserves psychiatric care but I'm not having it admitted while it's seventy. I'll wait until winter. You know, day after tomorrow...
This weather deserves psychiatric will wait until winter. You know, day after tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteNow that just made me laugh!!
I think I've diagnosed our problem as senility. Apparently "old" man winter just plum forgot to show up.
This whole post was a hoot! Are those your furry family? We have been having similar weather, but are heading for spring...yep, no more than one storm away from spring is my prediction.
ReplyDeleteToo funny love all the pets' reactions to the snow.
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are awfully cute! We also had a warm day - 68 degrees. It was wonderful, even though extremely windy.
ReplyDeletefunny!
ReplyDeleteWe are having the same type of weather here in MA - I actually got laundry on the clothesline yesterday - today, rainy and chilly again. Next week back to the 60's.
I am finding it funny that all the people who complained about the snow last year are complaining there is no snow this year!
Blessings
Karen
What cute pets! Yes, this fluctuating weather has me confused too. Never know exactly how to dress. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI know...it's nuts this year!
ReplyDeleteI love the cat picture. One disgruntled kitty! :)
ReplyDeleteDebbie, We had the same thing this week. Snow on Monday, sunny and warm on Wed. & Thurs. Today is sunny, but not supposed to be as nice -- rain is coming and they're saying the snow level may drop to about 1000' by Monday which of course means we'll likely get snowed on. Again. Have a great weekend and enjoy that company while she's there. :) ~Lisa
ReplyDeleteOh good, I was afraid you were out walking in t shirts and that blew in, Yes, spring is calling, trying to tempt me to plant a garden. I am not listening but I feel I am growing weaker. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you had a 70 degree day, they are just beautiful.
You reached 70 and we are back down in the 40's!! I am ready for the warm weather even though we had very little winter...your snow is beautiful..the dogs too cute
ReplyDeleteBi-polar weather - heehee! It's been the same around here. I do enjoy the warm days! I'm glad you didn't get caught in a snow storm!
ReplyDeleteWow, yesterday was spectacular here too. The snow just went down a lot and it was a really nice spring day. JB
ReplyDeleteWe started out yesterday just wearing a light sweater outside. Sometime in the night it snowed! Mother Nature's mood swings are playing havoc with my sinuses. But boy was it nice to go outside without lugging around a heavy winter jacket. I'll take more of that weather please!
ReplyDeleteCrazy weather here for us too, although we don't have snow. So funny! Your pets are very cute!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you!!
xoxo...Gloria
You are such a good writer, Debbie! Quite a clever (and accurate) take on the weather. (Ours has been schizophrenic too.)
ReplyDeleteAnd your fur family is sooooooo cute!
Enjoy your weekend...whatever the weather.
Blessings,
Cheryl
We had a day like that this week too! Now this morning it is in the 30s. I am tempted to put away the winter coats but I think I better wait ;) I love your shamrock pancakes on your header- great idea.
ReplyDeleteI like that thought...psychiatric care for the weather! So true! Sadly, we get no snow down here...but maybe this bi-polar Schizophrenic weather will go crazy and bring us some!
ReplyDeleteWe are delightfully warming up here! It's been lovely - but we still could get snow before it's officially Spring! Bi-polar is correct!
ReplyDeleteDeanna
Debbie,
ReplyDeleteWe have definately been having some crazy weather! Anyway, I wanted to make quick post to let you know my blog moved- wanted to separate the family from the just bloggin... one and hope to do a little more posting on this one soon! :)
The pups are so cute! Such sweet faces!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! Weather in Colorado is crazy, but today the sun was heavenly. We all sat outside and soaked it into our souls!
Your enthusisasm for the white dishes restoration tip is making me smile! I was plenty enthused myself to learn this trick. I kept saying things like "Amazing!" and "I never would have believed it!" and "LOOK at that!" and things like that. Do you think that the Lord cares about my white dishes? I think that He does.
ReplyDeleteAnd you had the same pattern?! Another thing to add to our list!
{{{Hugs}}} to my kindred spirit!
We've got the same bizarre patterns going - but then, we're in the same slip stream. The day we left for Santa Fe, snow finally fell here. Rachel was taking care of the horses and slogging around in knee high snow to do it. We had no such weather down there. By the time we got home -- two days later -- the arena had almost dried itself out and there wasn't a hint of snow anywhere. The crocus were up. I missed winter for a three day trip.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb! Doesn't that shamrock pancake dish in your banner look delicious - dare I ask if it is gluten free??
ReplyDeleteFun looking at your pictures and adventures - your 70 degree day - yeah - weatherman back east here is getting shot for all his big predictions this week that didn't pan out. Glad you got ours though - more ahead as one day rolls into the next.
Thanks for your sweet Blogoversary comments - so lovely getting to know you, too - and more adventures in Blogworld ahead!
Be in touch!
Joy!
