The time spent... meandering. First we head down the highway looking for an interesting byway. A left or a right catching each sight that comes our way. All through an appropriately smudgy windshield.
Holding hands as we smile down each shadowed mile. Dusk chases us back as the night sky turns black. The thirty minute road trip.
Have a blessed weekend, Debbie
Very sweet! I love to spend time with my honey on road trips or small Jeep excursions. Priceless!
ReplyDeleteWe love to run errands together - time to be together!

Sounds romantic to me. JB
ReplyDeleteHurray for married-forevers that still hold hands! Life is still sweet isn't it?
ReplyDeleteOne of the fun things my little husband and I do, too...but usually with a dog in the back seat. So, how did you take that picture?
ReplyDeleteLove these moments...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely way to spend the weekend. Pleasure to have you stop in my blog today. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect way to spend some time together.
ReplyDeleteSweet! ♥ Thirty good minutes!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you (both)...
I can't think of a much better way to spend time together
ReplyDeleteThe joys of growing older together...the simple things that just touch our heart! Glad you had time alone.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a nice way to spend the evening. Date night, I love date night.
ReplyDeleteEven considering the price of gas/gallon, yes, it is still a 'cheap' date. Glad you had time spent together - I look forward to time with my husband soon.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a grand adventure!! blessings ~ Tanna
ReplyDeleteThose are the best ones! Debbie, Ahh be still my heart!! Nothing beats having dh reach over and grab my finger or hand, as we travel down the road.~smile~ I remember as a child seeing my Dad reach for my Mother's hand and they would hold hands for hours as we were traveling, and he did this until the day he went to be with the Lord.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week, and thank you for your sweet comment, always blesses me so.
Hugs,
Sue
perfect date...
ReplyDeleteWe call it adventure riding, and I love to do it. When I was little, my parents always took a Sunday drive, and they took us with them. I guess that's where my love of it started.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you posted this because it seems that it's been a long time since my husband and I enjoyed a quiet drive.
Maybe a cheap date, but you are both obviously rich!
ReplyDeleteI liked your photo.
I love this. The destination is irrelevant as long as my love is by my side. Of course, these days, any occasion to be out of the house without our littles is considered a date night.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed night and fingers are crossed the power won't be out again anytime soon!
Sometimes it's those few stolen moments together that are the most sweet.
ReplyDelete~Lisa :)
Fun! These can be the best kind of dates.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Deborah
