"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! peggy sue and debbie lou

A last minute invitation to a birthday dinner called for a quick creative answer as to what to do for a gift. Luckily, I know my friend.  And luckily we have this wonderful tool called the internet.  And luckily, this site offered exactly what I needed... for free.

First I printed the dolls and several pages of clothes.  Next, I named the dolls ('coincidentally' their names are very similar to hers and mine) and wrote a little blurb to go with.

After that, I made a large envelope using the brown paper gift wrap that I purchase for a buck a roll at the dollar store.  I printed the dolls names and the date on a label for the front.

She loved it!  I knew she would.

Blessings, Debbie

  2. What a cute idea. They were great fun when I was a kid. Now kids would roar laughing if we asked them to play with those.

  8. Oh my gosh, I loved paper dolls. I had so many and they allwere put in families with their own clothes and I had file folders that each family 'lived' in and they were the best.

  18. ***squealing*** PAPER DOLLS!!

I LOVE paper dolls! My sister and I spent many childhood hours playing with ours. We had Lennon Sisters paper dolls, Barbie paper dolls, fairy tale paper dolls, and even some catalogue cutouts. Bliss.

What a fun, thoughtful, thrifty gift, Debbie! Of course she loved them.
