if you could be any animal...
Some days I just think how nice it would be to be a cat. A housecat.
Aw! Before I clicked over here, having just read the title of your post, I thought: cat! Yes, all boneless and lazy, silky and pet-worthy, looking all cute and cuddly on beds and sofas . . . yep! I'd be a stripey cat, although your sleek gray cutie is SO lovely! Those girls of yours, well they are just so bright and shiny!
Yes, indeed...that is the life! Warmth, food, sleep, love, in an endless repetition... Your gray kitty is a beauty! Hugs for the weekend, in which you enjoy at least a few housecat moments yourself...
Ironically, I just told my husband the same thing about our Jingles. She was sleeping so cozily on the bench in the dining area, with her paw over her eyes. Of course, I took a picture. And told her she has such a charmed life compared to all those outside kitties who have no one to love them and no warm place to sleep. She didn't me hear me though because she was in a deep sleep. :) Best wishes and blessings, Tammy
Curling up, napping in the sun....yes! And what a happy birthday celebration it must have been. The pictures were great. I have a REAL hard time with dates. In fact, the other day I couldn't get my husband's prescriptions picked up because I said his birthday was on the 5th and it's the 6th! I guess our wedding anniversary is on the 5th. I get it mixed up All. The. Time.
A housecat is definitely my choice too. A dog has nothing on a cat. Cats get to sit in the sun, or in laps, or anywhere they want. No want expects much of a cat other than to chase a string periodically. They don't force them to walk or exercise. They can just purr and be a fur ball. Yep. I think I would be a cat.
A cat sounds like a great life for me, after all aren't they suppose to have nine lives? Wishing your dh and son a very happy and blessed Happy Birthday. So nice to catchup. Hugs, Sue
hah, definitely a cat...when I was a child about 40 some odd years ago I had psychological testing done to determine a learning disability and the psyhcologist asked me the same question...I said 1.) an elephant to run over people and be seen as powerful ad mighty and 2.) a cat to curl up on someone's lap...I so remember that and it hasn't changed in regards to the cat but I no longer want to be an elephant :)

I think you are on to something... warm, well-fed, do as you please...
ReplyDeleteGreat photo... love the grey on grey! blessings ~ Tanna
Now, that looks like something I need to do on this rainy day. Your cat has it good!

Oh! I LOVE the video and you were right . . . all that talk of color resonates deeply with me. I need a KF book pronto. Thank you, good girl.

I want to come back as one of my dogs, they rule the house and are spoiled rotten.
ReplyDeleteI'd come back as a corgi! Must be wonderful to hear everyone call you cute all the time! And plus it's OK to be uh... er ...fluffy!
ReplyDeleteCute photo. Ah, that is the life! xo

ReplyDeleteLOL True. Some of our family friends say they want to come back as my little dog - Super spoiled!
ReplyDeleteI have thought that lots of time. On days I am tired, I wish I was a cat so I could sleep all day in a warm place. That kitty looks very comfortable.
ReplyDeleteSo true. Ours certainly have the life!
ReplyDeleteYes, a house cat who is petted and stroked and who sits in the sunny window on cold days.
ReplyDeleteYes. That matches the words you wrote to me.
ReplyDeleteIf I could be any animal, I would be one that lived in our house! They have life so swell! Loved, pampered, enjoyed in all their individual self-ness.
ReplyDeleteCurling up, napping in the sun....yes!

I would definitely agree. Such a wonderful looking cat you have.

ReplyDeleteOh, I so agree for many reasons. My dog doesn't haven't too bad, but I am afraid my temperament is more suited to being a cat. =)
ReplyDeleteYou are always too creative...what a gift you have...and I think I would to!!
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me :)
