We just returned from our 4 days in the mountains. This is something we do every 'weekend after Labor Day weekend'. We join other families from our church fellowship along with the 'ones that got away' ~ several families who have moved away, yet remain part of our family. On Friday a bunch of the ladies took to the trails donning our appropriate hiking attire! I'm here to tell you that just as important as your choice of hiking shoes... is your personal style of hiking hair. Can't you just tell a little something about each of us?
How fun! I wish I could have joined you. I love the pictures you post of your state and can almost feel the air there. Have a beautiful Monday Debbie. We are hitting the books full force here this week so it's going to be busy.xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post (and wonderful way to spend the day after Labor Day)! Yes, hairstyle and footware DO "speak". It would be interesting to know how accurate the impressions one forms from these appearances actually are....
ReplyDeleteMany stylish ladies seen here! Happy Monday.
ReplyDeleteThat's fun!
ReplyDeleteI noticed a lot of feminine style on the trail!

Love this post. This is the most creative "hike-in-the-woods" post ever!
ReplyDeleteI could go for a hike! My hair would have just been in a high pony though....nothing exciting. I love the photos of your gorgeous surroundings.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome adventure...I would love to do that...thanks for sharing, it is so peaceful...and love, love the pictures...you are just having too much fun with that camera! Oh our pictures would look very different....more males than females...LOL
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! And, was that you with the gold hoops? I like them! (I'm a hoop girl)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful part of the country you live in Debbie. Looks like such fun!
ReplyDeleteVery fashionable attire and hear styling! :) Gorgeous pictures too. Makes me long for nature and quiet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic time it looks like you gals had together! ~Lisa :)
ReplyDeleteThat's my kind of weekend!! And, I LOVE the hair commentary! LOL! Beautiful photos, Debbie. blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteSo fun and so creative, Debbie! I'm so glad the shorter-haired blondie didn't get left out. :) Y'all must have been the most beautiful hikers out there, glowing with the love of Christ.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your trip to the mountains - sounds and looks like you all had a fun time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by with your kind words. I really don't have it together - just taking it a day at a time.
Hope you have a great week.
I hope hair doesn't say too much about us or I'd be labeled a "Plain Jane" for sure!
ReplyDeleteThe area is beautiful for hiking. And it's so much more fun to have friends to enjoy it with!
Lovely! Sounds like you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteMuch love.
Some very cool hairstyles there, and what a beautiful place to hike........fantastic photo's.

Actually, that's exactly what I was thinking as I looked through the pictures. You really can see the different personalities.
ReplyDeleteI notice you didn't have anyone with a bedhead cowlick the size of Texas on the trail. Clearly, I was not invited.
It looks really wonderful...just so you know.
How fun! We LOVE hiking...but our kids are still quite young and can't always make it as far as we first think they can :) Sigh. How fun to go with church friends as a yearly event. Oh, and you all look lovely, by they way!
ReplyDeleteEveryone looked great! I wish there were more local great places to hike around here!
ReplyDeletehow nice!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved all the styles!! a nice get-a-way.

That looked like so much fun. Isn't nice how everyone has their own style?
ReplyDeleteAwww.. cute! Love this post Mrs. P. :) Love you all and we're all sad that camp is over. it was to short (...as always)... ;) Hope to see ya soon!!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time since I have done any serious hiking.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the photographs. Your "hiking fashion" pictures were great! Everyone had their own unique style, and I think that's great! Who needs "carbon-copy" fashions anyway? :)
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. Looks like it would have been a lot of fun.
I like all the hiking hair styles! I bet the hike was a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI would definately be the one wearing the earrings :) Fun post, love to hike, especially as the weather turns cooler (soon I hope)
ReplyDeleteHiking hair - love it! But, really love the trees and landscapes you saw on your hike. Reminding me of some good times past hiking and camping with our fellowship friends - homeschoolers all - now all graduated and stepping into the world as young adults. How time flies . . .
ReplyDeleteJoy!

What a lovely hike,,,hair styles and all. Very cute post. It is fun to see the styles of each lady. Great observations! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment today. You are very kind! Your blog is amazing...I have been so busy, I hate to miss any of it. I will have to catch up soon...hopefully!!!! :)
Blessings for a beautiful evening.
xoxo...Gloria
What a great idea for a post. What a splendid tradition...I want to start something like this...what a beautiful place. Thanks so much for showing it to me.
ReplyDeleteYou girls definitely were stylin'. What a great hiking trail.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, even your hiking pictures are creative! I loved the fashion show...and I agree that those things are important. Who could enjoy a good hike knowing that her hair did not have that certain hiking chicness (is that a word?), or that her footwear was not the right combination of sporty and cute? ~smile~
ReplyDeleteYour description of visits from Hillary was so heartwarming. I know just what you mean! Again...we are SO blessed!
Should I write this on "the list"? We usually start school on the Monday after Labor Day too! What?!! Another thing we have in common?!! Don't most people begin school on the day after Labor Day...or sometime in August...or they school year round? Not us! We choose the exact same (somewhat odd) day to begin school. (Even if you are delayed this year...it's the usual plan. So weird.)
I'm a french plaits and boots that support the ankle type of gal. Although secretly I'd wish my hair would go into ringlets. I love the idea of meeting up with a group of friends on a set day. Perfect way to catch up (no pun intended!) with old friends.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! You all are a bunch of very stylish ladies. I'm glad to see there were no high heels on the trail though ;o).
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
