"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! open the door, let Him in

This is the end of the song Dr. Hehn always leads during fellowship on Sunday.  We all sing (not just the kids), complete with hand motions!

Knock, knock, knock,
I hear Jesus knocking

tug, tug, tug,
tugging at my heartstrings

thump, thump, thump,
my heart started thumping
when I heard him knocking...

...Now I was smart, to let Him in my heart
when I heard Him knocking

And you'll be smart to let Him in your heart
when you hear Him knocking...

Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.  Revelation 3:20

Blessings, Debbie

  1. I'd love to hear the TUNE! This looks like it would be a song that you'd never be able to get out of your mind.

  2. You reminded me of a Marj Snyder song from that verse. "I will come into him, and sup with him, and he with me." Remember that old pamphlet titled, My Heart, Christ's Home?

  3. I love the words to that song. I've never heard it, but in my head it's a festive chorus.

It's very convicting to me that those words were uttered INWARD to the church and not outward to the multitude.

And now I'm singing my own favorite knocking song from my childhood.

Behold! Behold! I stand at the door and knock knock knock...

  5. My Mom made me memorize the verse before she died. She even left in written on little notes I found after she died and I was so lost. I never read it that I don't think about her and having to trust Jesus more for us than she was afraid to die.
