This fourth of July began with gifts from creative friends and family (and cute patriotic fingernails). It continued with much conversation and laughter, food and drink, playing and spectating... And ended with the gift of sweet memories of friends and loved ones to hold in our hearts forever. Oh yes, and fireworks. Lots and lots of fireworks that everyone was too engrossed in to get pictures of!
Next year... same time, same place...
Blessings, Debbie
Debbie, what a beautifully full day you had. I love the backdrop you have for baseball games; in the lowcountry it's just Flat! I haven't forgotten the open invitation for next year...saving my pennies! I hope this weekend blesses you with rest and happiness.xx

just crazy about all the busyness of the 4th of JUly it brings -- I can say that because I did not do nothing that was close to your day,, I've missed it -- A LOT! Guess it's true - you don't know what you'll miss until it not around.. hugs
ReplyDeleteWow... a lot going on! Hope you are better today. I was going to tell you that I spent much of last year helping to care for my aging father. He died in July and my mother-in-law died in August. While all this was going on we were planning my daughter's wedding which was in Sept. So, I was tired, too, more like exhausted....physically, mentally, and emotionally.A couple of weeks after the wedding, I took off! I booked a room in a place about an hour from home and near the water. I slept, sat and read by the lake, watched ducks and geese, went for walks, watched movies, ate out...etc. In other words, I did what I wanted to do and had some time alone with no one else to look after for care for. It did me a world of good. I was able to catch my breath and relax and be refreshed by my Heavenly Father, I highly recommend it!
ReplyDeleteFun, fun, fun. You are a very blessed woman xoxo Clarice
