I would hurry to my place of shelter,
far from the tempest and storm. psalm 55:8

"I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. psalm 91: 14

ReplyDeleteWho lives in that cozy shelter? So sweet. Have you read the book First We Have Coffee? When Mama needed a bit of shelter, she would pull her apron up over her head. Love it.

ReplyDeleteI read these verses this morning in my quiet time...over and over again Psalms 91, what an awesome God we serve.
ReplyDeleteSomething my mind needs now and again...shelter from this world.
ReplyDeleteI like this picture and the Psalms go perfectly. I am so glad that God is my shelter and strong tower.
ReplyDeleteLovely --- so reassuring.
ReplyDeleteThis message never gets old, does it? We forget it all too easily. Hope you are having a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteAhhh...thank you for sharing these sweet words of comfort, words of life!
ReplyDeleteI was just reading the other day a legend about when the Holy Family was fleeing into Egypt - an olive tree opened up and they put the Baby inside while Herod's soldiers passed by. This tree reminded me of that!
ReplyDeleteWonderful words. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThe only trouble with this is that HIS "safe" and mine are often not quite the same. It's all this darned learning and growing we have to do. Ultimately, I am glad that I believe in the purpose of life, and love my assurance that what follows the scary, painful parts of this life will be rejoicing and total relief. "Thy will be done," then, will carry me through the trial by fire that is mortality. That will be my comfort and stay.
ReplyDeleteWonderful verses! I love the Psalms. That tree looks like a cozy home for someone.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
