"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! a finished knit and a memory

It's finished!
And I like it so much I'm making another!

I'm reading my old journal...

Last night Erin came crawling up to me panting like a dog.  I pet her head and told her she was a good dog. I put out my hand and asked her to shake.  She placed her 'paw' in my hand, began shaking it and said, "I'm pleased to make your appointments"~

  1. I love going back and reading old journals, it always feels like yesterday instead of years.

  2. I like your latest creation. My daughter in law is a knitter. I love watching people knit. No, I am not really a dresser upper. :) My daughter once looked at my clothes as we were trying to find something for me to wear to a wedding. She told me I look like a escapee from a nunnery. When I was young, I loved clothes, now it just has to be durable. I would rather buy seeds, or books or embroidery thread. Or chicks. :)I don't really buy that much anymore. I try and make it.
Last year for my birthday, I wanted really nice hula-hoe. :)

  3. The vest is SO pretty! I like the color. It says "spring"!

And what a riot--the incident you recorded in your journal.

  6. I saw your comment on another blog and thought I'd drop in and say hi! I grew up in central Oregon (Roseburg) and my heart yearns to live in the state again someday. It is nice to "meet" you.

  8. When I like something so much, I always want to make another one too. My husband on the other hand always wants to try something new and different. Maybe I'm just comfortable with the 'known'.
You sweater turned out great! Can't wait to see the next one. :-)

  9. What a cute comment --- I am pleased to make your appointments! Aren't journals wonderful?

I love your sweater vest. It is the perfect blend of refined and folksy. And the yarn is so pretty in the duplicate colors.

Enjoy a lovely day! We have SUNSHINE! I hope you do too!

  10. I wish every new mom would take the time to keep a journal as her children grow...you think you'll remember those sweet moments but that's not always the case. And it's fun looking back. Thanks for visiting my blog and the nice comment. I appreciate it so much. God bless you and your family, Patti
