"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! and then there was light...

Today I am thankful for the light at the end of the tunnel.

...the light that shines in the eyes of my friends.
...the light that is offered through the help of my children.
...the light that is reflected back to me from the eyes of my husband.
...the Light Of The World who gives me hope and life.

the light at the end of the tunnel...

I had a rough week battling a stomach flu.  I still don't feel quite normal, but with so much light around me it's hard to admit to any darkness!  Once again, I am thankful.

  7. The stomach flu is the *worst*. I hope everyone is soon feeling well again. Beautiful photo--I love how it has a black and white quality to it, even though it's a color shot.

  11. I hope you feel better soon. I like all of the things about light you talked about today.
Our plants are growing under the plant light in my husbands shed. I love that even though they have light, they are reaching for the true light.
Get better soon. As I have learned from this weekend too, it is no fun and I don't have time for it. :)

  16. Light - when it spills over the lip of the mountains and pours like glowing honey down to fill up the bowl of the valley. Light, when it dances, fractures and fractious, against the wall - split and colored by leaves dancing.
