"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! borrowing babies

Can we still call them the babies?  That's how we've always referred to them, but they'll be 3 in July!  We've been borrowing the twin grands of our dear friends since they're parents were willing to part with them for visits.  They were just sleepy little bundles, one for each of my girls.  How generous of their dad and mom to think of that!

May the Good Lord richly bless your day.  And if you're looking for something to liven it up, may I suggest baby borrowing.  It's a wonderful hobby!

Hugs, Debbie

  3. I had my granddaughter over for several nights while my daughter was out of town, she didn't arrive tired and never got tired the whole time. Oh my, three year olds are busy all the time.

  4. I agree completely about the baby borrowing! Right now, every friend with a grandchild is selfish smellfish and hogs their grandchildren all to themselves. (just kinda kidding). I need to do some surveillance at the church and find a baby to borrow.

  5. Children and chicken adventures. What could be better on a spring day? Those are some lucky 'babies' to get to come and play with your sweet girls.

  11. I think they are still babies at 3. How nice of your friends to let you borrow them occasionally. Life through the eyes of a child is fascinating.

  16. Oh, I love to borrow them for an afternoon, too, Debbie!! Too precious. I'm sure they'd be asking to go back to your place though for the girls AND the hen, not to mention your sweet self! blessings ~ Tanna

  17. Yes, 3 is still "baby" (heck, 5 is still baby in my mind) and those two are just adorable! So sweet that you get to steal them away for a little while.

  18. Sometimes even baby smooching works for me yet. Perhaps it's still because I have a four year old at home. I'm definitely going to keep this baby borrowing thing in mind though. Sounds like a great thing to fill the void until Lord willing little grands arrive somewhere in the future.

    Blessings!

  19. They see - and so we see. They hear - and so we hear. They discover things we'd forgotten. But then, a little child will always lead us.

    Than hen is spectacular.
