Quietly free, riding on currents of after-noon
Watching the world below from a birds-eye view
The sun playing across backs that hold-up clouds
As wings dip and rise in accord with storms a-brew

Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYou are so multi-talented.
Makes me want to be a bird.
I like it!
ReplyDeleteIsn't spring a good time to pen poems? I think so, too.
Lovely pair...the photograph and the poem. Thank you for sharing your inspiring creativity!
ReplyDeleteYou captured that feeling of a storm "abrew" perfectly, Debbie. And so does your photograph.

Hi Debbie! I came back to ask for dog pictures. I love poms and your pom is so cute (or do you have two?) I hope your holy week has been very special and meaningful. Sending love your way, sweet friend.

First, I wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog! Love this photo and sentiments; I find myself watching birds all the time. It seems they have a lovely life up there in the clouds.
ReplyDeleteI woke this morning to find that you had snuck in during the night. I was as delighted to find those words as I just am, finding these birds flicked across your sky. I have been going through a manuscript - that and working on photo projects and learning to make epub files for Amazon - all of this sandwiched in the cracks between children showing up and making things happy, if complex. And I read a novel. A real one. I get so behind, reading the people I feel connected to. Eternity is going to be wonderful, but if you subtract evil and danger and politics from this life, it's a pretty fine banquet of blessings - just not enough time to do every blessed thing.
ReplyDeletebeautiful thoughts... beautiful words... beautiful photo...
ReplyDeleteSometimes I think I would like to be a bird.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
