"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! What say we sit in the backyard and enjoy this beautiful summer respite?  Umbrellas required...

  4. Thank you for praying~ for Kim. She is doing well. The Doctor does believe it is cancer but that he got it all. She will have to be religious about getting scans for the next six years to make sure it does not return. God is good!

Have a wonderful day~ stay cool!

  5. Crazy weather. We have overcast and threatening skies and then just a dollop of rain.....nothing bit or heavy.

  6. Hope that the hail didn't do any damage. You seem to be having the opposite type of weather than we are having. I agree with Trish, the weather is strange this year.

  8. Whoa! I hope all was fine after the storm. With the summer we've had, I expect some hail storms.
    (And frogs, and locusts, and...)

  13. Maybe I'm a bit odd, but I think that rainy days are expecially cozy. Not sure about the hail, although it sure looks inviting from your perspective! I'd love to come and sit a spell in your lovely backyard. :-D

  14. It was much needed, I'd say, but that hail is scary to me. I love the shot of the seesaw. xo,

  16. We have had hail storms this year...big hail...four different storms, tore up roofs, tore down fences...our front yards looked like popcorn..well the size of golf balls.

The storms stopped and then came the heat and drought...oh my...how the weather can change.

Yours looks like s sweet spring rain...

  27. Title made me giggle. A great gift, far behind as I am, and beleaguered with blessings and obligations and impending doom-joy (which is what a wedding is in this house - wedding bells breaking up that old gang of mine . . . ). I love, love, love that little building. The yard. Charm. Ah, how I long for it - can weeds ever be charming?
