Sisters, sisters,
There were never such devoted sisters,
Never had to have a chaperone, no sir
I'm there to keep my eye on her
Caring sharing
Every little thing that we are wearing
When a certain gentleman arrived from Rome
She wore the dress, and I stayed home
All kinds of weather, we stick together
The same in the rain and sun
We think and we act as one
Those who've seen us
Know that not a thing could come between us
Many men have tried to split us up, but no one can (except for Monte)
Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister
And Lord help the sister, who comes between me and my man

Great picture...you all are just having toooooooooooo much fun
ReplyDeleteThere's no doubting that they are sisters. Beautiful girls. I only have a brother so have close friends who I consider to be sisters of the heart. :)
ReplyDeleteI like your frugal ways; the barkcloth pillow covers and the cute apron with cross-stitching - gives me an idea for a project.
The county fair sounds like so much fun. You must be a creative bunch if you've been entering items for all these years.
Happy belated anniversary. Another blogger posted about her trip through Sisters and the quilt show. I just think that would be so beautiful to see.
Hope your day is great! :) Tammy
Love this photo of your dear girls! Sweet!

ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful trio of sisters! You are blessed! Also - that song and movie clip are always a favorite! Forgive the artist in me if I have to revel in that shade of blue, lace, and swirly skirts!!!

Kathy
what gorgeous girls you have!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty daughters you have, Debbie! Enjoyed the clip too.
ReplyDeleteHey, Debs! East coast - actually Newport mansions - There's a lot of money up here. This is where we have the mansions like the huge manor houses in England where Jane and Charlie D. might set one of their stories. Great estates and full of crazy big stuff.
ReplyDeleteGotta tell you - I just got off the phone placing an order for my dancing slippers for the Civil War Ball we're going to in September - I ordered them through Victorian Trading Company - and the guy who answered the phone was named - Charles Dickens. Took my breath away for a minute. He says that all the phone staff use names of 19th century writers and artists. Very nifty!
Joy!
Kathy

ReplyDeleteSounds like they are not only close, but have their heads on straight. (That is something I didn't quite have, plus I was an only child.) I love being a momma of sisters. Sisterhood is all new to me!
