"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! the red eye...

You see the yellow line there?  That yellow line is making life miserable for Audrey.  According to our local weatherman the pollen count for central Oregon is high right now.  When we took a walk the other day we found that forecast to be accurate.

So, all of you wonderful homeopaths and naturopaths out there ~ we would gladly welcome any helpful advice that you might have for this poor girl.  And please don't say, "no more wacking the trees when she walks." We figured that one out for ourselves.

Blessings, Debbie

  2. Poor girl! I wish I had some advice. I did hear that local honey is goood for allergies-- not sure how you use it though--maybe just by ingesting it? I have been using claritin during the really bad days.

  3. Let her lie around and listen to music with that nice cold cloth to comfort. We have the same problem here. The pollen gives me a headache and makes my jaw hurt.

  4. Is it a headache? Rash? WhatEVER, I'm sorry to hear of her discomfort/pain.

  5. So sorry to hear that. I have a lot of allergies too. It affects my sinuses. Spend a lot of time in a dark room hovered over a steaming basin with a towel over it. Best thing is to just stay indoors as much as humanly possible. Sorry I can't be of more help!

  6. Dear Debbie,

Oh dear! I have heard that a tea made of ragweed (or chewing on a few leaves) helps with pollen allergies, but I haven't tried it personally, so I'm not 100% sure if it does or not. The relief from chewing on the leaves is supposed to be more immediate, but only lasts for a few hours. I don't know if that helps, or if you can even find ragweed around there, but I hope poor Audrey feels better soon!

    Love,

    Marqueta

p.s. For the non-allergic folks, pine pollen is loaded with lots of natural testosterone, and gives energy!

  8. How about doing a rinsing away allergens with saltwater..might work for your daughter.. it does for me. You flush the sinuses with saltwater.. It’s an idea that takes some getting used to for most of us, but it’s a bit like using nasal spray. A little douse of saltwater can rinse away those prickly pollen grains and help treat allergies and other forms of sinus congestion..hugs..

  9. Oh gosh, I wish I could help but I'm one who has been blessed with NO allergies; not anything! so it's not an area I even delve into. Bless her heart...saying some prayers for her suffering!

  12. Ooooh poor Audrey! I know how she feels. Unfortunately the homeopathic/natural route no longer worked for me. I now take Aerius. The only one that doesn't have wacky side effects for me. But, I'm happy not to be sneezing, sniffling, and wanting to scratch my eyes out. I hope you are able to find some relief for her quickly!

    Blessings!
