"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! Hope Joy P...

the beautiful sentiment that accompanied the flowers our V.K.s sent last June 26th...
15 days before Hope's sister Hillary's wedding

Hope ~ To expect with desire.

My Hope is in heaven.
She was no bigger than my open hand when the Lord called her home.
She would have been 3 1/2 years old had He decided to allow us to raise her.
She was born to Jesus 4 months early on June 26, 2007.

Though everyone who is His can say that their hope is in heaven,
my Hope has a mouth to welcome me and arms to embrace me.
My God knows what is best and He had numbered her days before I even knew her.
So, on this June 26th we celebrate our daughter/sister who was eagerly awaited for 5 months,
who we thought we would meet in 4 months...

...who now waits for us

Blessings, Debbie

  4. I hope that your post brings solace to someone that needs it. My son and daughter-in-law just lost the baby that they were eagerly waiting for. We don't always understand why, but we must accept that He knows better than we do.

  10. I have a special spot in my heart for preemies. It's always hard to understand the plan when we're going through such things, but God is good and His timing is perfect. It is such a blessing to know that you will see your Hope again, and we will all get to meet her someday! I hope you are able to celebrate her birthday with joy and peace.

    Have a wonderful day,
    Meg

  17. Sorry for your loss...

Thank you for your lovely comment at my blog today. We live on opposite sides of the continent so we likely will never meet in this life, but ah, in the life to come, I do believe we will have wonderful fellowship!

  19. Dear Debbie,

I know a little of how you feel today; we lost a baby who lived only two hours, yet we think of her every day.

May the Lord wrap you in His comforting arms.

    Love,

  23. Lovely to meet you also Debbie, You are a spring chicken...I am an old chook. It is sad when we loose a baby. I wonder if you have ever heard of Dale Evans book, "Angel Unaware"
She was Roy Rogers (King of the cowboys)wife and wrote as if, she was the baby they lost. It is an old book yet still available from Amazon.com. It goes into Heaven and the joy of there. It helped me with my loss. Blessings. xx

  25. Debbie, this is certainly a hard path to walk. I, too, had a little girl who was born early (I was four months pregnant)...and probably five years went by before I did not think about her every.single.day. How blessed we are to have that hope of seeing our little ones again and the hope of knowing that our God is love and knows the end from the beginning. (What a lovely and appropriate name for your "Hope!)

Thank you for sharing this beautiful memory...
