"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! a gingerbread day

Outside the weather is doing just what the weather is supposed to be doing this time of year.  Inside we are doing just what we are supposed to be doing this time of year, a little baking while watching a VHS on the 'portable' television set.  Yes, we are pretending to be high tech and modern in our old-fashioned-ness.

It would be impossible to sum up these weeks of no posting so I won't even try.  Besides, there really is just one piece of news that I MUST share right now.  One perfect piece of news that is filling my heart with flutters, my mind with dreams and my needles with new found vigor and purpose...  For those of you who haven't yet guessed, I'm going to be a grammie!!  Hillary and Monte are having a baby for me, isn't that just the sweetest?  Honestly they are just so incredibly thoughtful... sigh... smile... click, click... dream... smile...

Blessings, Debbie

That is what I called my paternal grandmother. Grammy. My maternal - was Grandma. That's how we kept them apart when us kids talked about them.
