The last couple of days have been amazing. We actually hit 70 degrees! It felt so good to be outside all day. My Vitamin D starved body literally soaked up the sunshine. While I sat nice and still in my patio chair to deceive myself into thinking that it was hot, Audrey and her cousin took it a step further and hooked up Mount Tiki Soakie.
Blessings, Debbie
Looks like they had fun! We're only into the 60's for the next 10 days in Philly, but the good news is, night temps are in the 50's so we can plant the garden:@)
ReplyDeleteIt was 96 on my patio here in Central California yesterday. Same forecast for today. I know because I could see the thermometer from the air conditioned living room!
ReplyDeleteSorry for whining....
It was nice here too. I find I work better when it is warmer. Something about sweating gets me motivated. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! My kiddos do that too - running around in the water with towels so they don't get cold. Silly kids. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt has only been in the mid 70's here for three whole days!!! Tomorrow, almost 90 again! I nearly melted into the hardwood floor last week from heat and humidity. This week the A/C might have to come on.
ReplyDeleteHaha!! This made me laugh out loud. Audrey... you goofy. ;) (Although you know if I was there we'd all be wearing towels. So I'll just laugh at you while I'm far away. Hehe.)
ReplyDeleteLol! This photo reminds me very much of my kiddos. Thank you for stopping by and saying hello on my blog. You helped me to find another blog to enjoy :o)! I love those chickens that you knitted!
ReplyDeleteI'll stop by again soon!
Blessings!
Deborah
I loved the comment you left on my blog: "The poems that spill from our hearts in time of joy...and terror, are memorial stones." So true! Reminds me of my memorial stone on my http://namesofgodonrocks.blogspot.com that I did a few weeks ago. By the way, what kind of birds do you have in your birdhouses?
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are getting some good sunshine. How cute that the kids wanted to run through the sprinkler! Won't it get REALLY hot in your neck of the woods?
Too funny...well we will be in the 90's this weekend, so we went from heater to A/C in one week...oh my, Texas.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your sunshine...doesn't it just make you cheerful?
Those are fun photos, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and a wonderful Mother's Day xx
What fun! I did the same thing when we hit 70 on Wednesday-just sat and soaked it up! It felt so good, didn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment this morning. I am spending all of my time outside and my needles and thread are standing idle. I have abandoned them for the hoe. :) When it gets to hot to be outside in the summer then I will start sewing, I hope. I have a jillion ideas. I would like to make a couple of quilts in that magazine. But right now gardening and getting my garden in has been what I have been doing and graduating my next to last student. I am not a very good Momma bird, I don't like pushing them out of the nest. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day,
Kim
So cute! I'm not ready to deceive myself with TOO much summer. It will get entirely too hot entirely too soon as it is around this joint. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteBut it's so good to know that winter is over!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed your mother's day post, but cracked up when I saw this photo...I am desperate for spring. Last night we went out for frozen custard, but ate it in the car with the heat blasting. I tried sitting on our deck with my dogs, but the cool breeze was too much for me. Hoping for heat this next week!
ReplyDeleteSweet deception.
ReplyDeleteWe have had crazy weather here. Heatwave conditions for a few days, we had to turn the ac on. Then...cold again, had to turn that heater back on!
ReplyDeleteIt is currently warm, but the nights are dipping down to cooler temperatures!! The heat will be here soon enough!!! I am enjoying a little coolness still...:)
xoxo...Gloria
