"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! ode to my mother

Ode to My Mother
Debbie Penington
May 7, 2011

Steady from a mother's hand comes ministering care
Steady from a mother's mind creativity and flair

With quiet strength our burdens carried
While her own needs gladly buried
Often hurried, never harried
Selfless love lives there

Calmly from a mother's lips sweet words gently spill
Calmly from a mother's song a babe's cries gently still

Though oft times anxious for not knowing
Just how well her efforts going
While still in all her love is flowing
These little cups to fill

An ode to mother's perfect place in families and homes
I'll oft sing praise because for me God chose mine as my own

I Love you mom!

Happy Mother's Day,  Debbie
