"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! tax time

'render unto caesar that which is ceasers'

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.  But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

"No one can serve two masters.  Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and Money."

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.  Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"

"And why do you worry about clothes?  See how the lilies of the field grow.  They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.  If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?  So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?'  or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What will we wear?'  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone  Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?  If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!"

I lift up my eyes to the hills~
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

Blessings,  Debbie

  1. Such beautiful pictures to illustrate your prose. And so true. We do tend to think we aren't important to God. But He's just waiting to bless us with gifts and love.

I'd sure love to try your rolls. Do you have the recipe posted?

May you have a blessed Sabbath!

  2. Hi Debbie,

I really like your blog! Thank you for sharing these great pictures with the Word of God. I love the photograph of the clouds, it reminds me of the most amazing clouds I saw just yesterday. God's creations are amazing!

My son is eight, his favourite Scripture happens to be Matthew 6:19-21.

I hope you get your taxes all worked out without any complications.

    GOD BLESS!

With love and care from Kerrie. xOx
