"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! a dark, dark day
So, what're you all doin' today? Wanna guess what I (along 700 zillion others) am doing? I know, this is a toughie... I'll be back Monday assuming I wasn't trampled!
I would stay away from any shopping malls on Black Friday because I see how crazed some shoppers can get. I hope that you returned home safe and sound.
Brave lady , you! How've you been! Trying to get back in the blog reading and commenting mode - school has me wiped out - as I suppose you have been after your Black Friday excursion. This weekend I stay away from the stores and decorate for Christmas - only the trees left to do - one in the dining room and one in the living room. Ed is home this past month - and thru December now, too - herniated disk. School woes have come to a head - this means good things in 2012 for me relating to home schooling. Stay tuned for a big report coming on that front! Enduring for a season yet with God's reward in sight! Hope you have been well - haven't checked in after your fast. Blessings as you go forth in all the good things He has done in your spirit during such a time! JOY! Kathy
I didn't do Black Friday, except to get up early and get one coat for my daughter. We did small business Saturday instead. The deals weren't that great, and it was already picked over. Sigh...
BUT we were together. Mom and daughter time is fun whether we're frantic on Friday or sauntering on Saturday. Right?
Very creative! I hope you got some great deals! I myself did absolutely no shopping. Stayed in PJs all day and watched movies with the family! : )
ReplyDeleteHope you survive!
ReplyDeleteI opt out and decorate instead!
Blessings!

You are a braver woman than I. I have never ventured out on Black Friday and I don't intend too! I hope you got some good deals though! :)
ReplyDeleteBe careful! The grocery store was quiet!

I saw the news here...it was a dark day.....crazy! I just don't understand why people would bother. Do they really need all that 'stuff' so badly? Maa
ReplyDeletePeeking in to see if you survived...

ReplyDeleteWell we do not have Black Friday like yours here in Canada and judging by all the news reports we see here it kind of scared me :). B
