Snow! Not just a skiff but real, coming down in lofty softness to blanket the lawn, the trees, the rooftops in oh such freshness for real snow! I watched the top of my poor husband's head and shoulders become whiter each time he returned to the door to gather more of his needed supplies for the trudging through pre-dawn he'll be doing this morning. The mighty hunter is off in search of the elusive Wapiti. Elk. If he is successful, it and the buck that Larry brought in last month will be enough to sustain us (with extra to share) for the coming year. How fortunate I am to be married to a great hunter and provider!
Since the house is quiet and I am up and it's Saturday with nothing on the agenda (how often does that happen? I know!) I have more of the beautiful pygora from my dear friend's goat and it's becoming the most luscious yarn. The snow is falling, the man is providing, the girls are sleeping and I'll be spinning. If only every day could be like today. :)
I pray that this day finds each of you enjoying what you enjoy and basking in the gracious gifts that are yours.
Blessings, Debbie
How lovely you have snow today! It is wonderfully chilly here, with a chance of sprinklers as well. I hope you have a wonderful morning spinning to your hearts content. Thank you so much for your wonderful comment... I really needed to hear it and it blessed me greatly this morning!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a cozy day for you indoors!
ReplyDeleteAll IS right in your world. Enjoy each moment! Thanks for the prayers for our mess in WV...really appreciate them. They are having to rebuild the electricity for some areas from the ground up! Can't imagine.
ReplyDeleteHi sweet friend! That IS a great day!
ReplyDeleteOh what a great way to spend the morning. Grateful for everything in our lives and time to ourselves. Perfect. B
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful day, Debbie!

It's always so nice to hear from you, Debbie! I was happy to have you come knocking on my (blog) door. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that all is right in your world today! Your morning sounds dreamy...and I hope the rest of the day continues to be so lovely and restful.
(To satiate your curiosity ~wink~...yes, it did take awhile to post about our busy weekend, although I did do several smaller posts in between. And yes, it was more than a coincidence. It takes a little longer to recover these days.) =D
Spinning and snow, what a wonderful day it must be! Good to hear from you Debbie.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like such a beautiful day like I had in my childhood. The men hunted and the women knitted by the fire while bread baked in the oven.
ReplyDeleteOur snow is all gone in the valley with the rain we had but we can still see tell tale of snow banks up on the hill around parking lots.
Thanks for the blessings.

Sounds idyllic and oh what a blessing to have such a good source of protein with enough to spare.
ReplyDeleteDeb, I'm glad you're happy with it - ours is just about gone, but I know it'll return!
ReplyDeleteas for your mysterious Nolie - I confess that I wish you hadn't promised you wouldn't do any more cat posts, because she is rather intriguing. :) Have you tried opera?
Enjoying what I enjoy indeed. Family. :) No snow here yet, but it is mighty chilly out. Keeping warm by the fire and crocheting up a storm (Christmas is coming...). Blessing to you, Debbie.

So glad you got a nice relaxing sort of day thought it is hard for me to believe all the snow. Blessings!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are just enjoying our first frost. Love the cold weather even more because it's been so long since we've experienced it. Hope your slow weekend was restoring and full of God's gifts!
ReplyDeletePerfect Saturday (or any day!).
ReplyDeleteOh it sounds like the most cozy and scrumptious of Saturdays. I pray your hubby did get his goal. Did he? I would love to know. And I hope one day soon we can see a pic of this delectable yarn. [o=
ReplyDeleteBlessings and ((HUGS))

It sounds a bit heavenly to me. We rarely if ever get snow so when we do, it always brings excitement. The excitement is nice, but it kind of interrupts any coziness.
ReplyDeleteI've been pretty much AWOL from blog land for months now. It's nice to take a few minutes to stop by.
Sounds like a wonderful day, Debbie, I love all of the changing seasons. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a most blessed Thanksgiving.
Blessings,
Sue
