"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! the amazing.. disappearing..

Didn't know that I was a magician did you?  Neither did my telephone friends...  But yes, I have a fabulous disappearing act that I decided to just spring on everyone with no warning.  My own unique demonstration excludes those within driving distance.  They had an inkling that I was up to some kind of trick but really couldn't begin to estimate the amazing illusion I was creating via the communicationwaves. So, without further adieu.. Voila!  I'm back.  Are you impressed or just annoyed?  I've really always hated the stage so I guess this is as far as I'll take my act.  :)

I'd like to wrap some brain and some words around what's really been going on so here goes..  First, my glitchy computer made it very difficult to upload pictures making it such a slow process that I dreaded the thought of attempting it each day.  Life was already engaged in its 'summer with teens and family and friends' hyperspeed thing and then I think (no, know) that it had everything to do with my love of home. I really enjoy blogging about home.  I hadn't been home much so when I was, I needed to savor it and be 'in the moment'.  And when I stepped away from here for more than a couple of weeks and thought about popping back, so much had transpired that I felt a bit crippled with a blank screen in front of me.

I want to thank the sweet friends that reached into my dead space with caring words while I was away.  I didn't see any of them until this morning (unless you e-mailed me and I admit to only sporadically checking my e-mail!) and am blessed.  I remember giving a friend a hard time years ago, when she spoke of her 'blog friends' and saying, "seriously?  Friends?  It's a computer..."  Silly me.  Bloggers are people and I've found some of the biggest hearts in these real friends.  Forgive me.  Now I have a few phone calls to make...

Blessings, Debbie

**  I thought that I would quickly freshen up my look since I'm back.  Apparently I no longer have enough storage space for my photos or something like that which is going to require some research...  I really hope you like the header as is, because I don't think I'm up for the challenge quite yet!

  2. My goodness, woman! No, I'm not impressed, you silly - nor am I annoyed. If you are all right, then I'm glad to "see" you!! Yes, blogging with a slower computer is a bit of a pain! :D

I'm glad you're back and all right - God bless. (I refused to give up on you and remove your link from my list!)

  7. I totally get it, but am glad you're back. I don't have wifi or internet service where I'm living now, and I have to go somewhere to use my laptop. Who has time for that? I had to buy picture space when I ran out. I think I paid $5.00 and I made a much bigger deal out of it than necessary....as usual.

  14. Oh Welcome back. I love your funky photos.
I have found"friends" in bloggerland that I am sure I could not get along without knowing now.
I am so sad to hear the one lady has not been that lucky or should I say blessed.
Take care and I like your header. Missed you. B

  15. Oh my goodness. It's so fun to have you back here in this place. I totally get the "out of space" thing...on the computer for the photos. Hence no header photo over at my place either.

But one thing I have learned. YOU MUST re-size your photos before uploading. I do mine through PicMonkey. It's easy to do and it will save you so much space. I don't want to pay money just to add more space on my blog. I'm not that desperate. Maybe one day- but not yet. Any questions just email me.

  17. Hi Debbie, nice to see you again. Re the photos ... blogger will allow the smaller photos ie - the size it downloads onto your post page. Do not increase the size. If you want bigger pictures on your blog, you will have to either pay for more storage or go into your picasa album and delete a lot of the old ones. But be aware, they will disappear from you old posts to.

  18. Almost everybody I love did this very thing this summer. And my life has been more than I could hold in one cup, too - not much blogging. But there will be tales to tell as the fires leap up in the grate and we have more dark hours than light ones. As I said, I have thought of you over and over these last months, without the power to sit down and seek you out. Now I know why. You are dear here. I am not a regular, not in reading. You are quite a world to keep up with. But you are regular in my heart -
