"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! how autumn is the sound of music

Fall decorating, gathering the last of summer's eggs, foraging for rose hips and collecting flower seeds to plant next spring... as the girls would 'sing' (and play), "these are a few of my favorite things."

Exciting things happening around here... I'll be sharing in bits and pieces.  I've been bit hard by the creative bug and I'm feeling like Martha on steroids.  Christmas should be no problem as I've been addding a gift a day to the present box, no kidding.  And yes, people are eating and learning and wearing clean clothes!  It's this fabulous autumn air...

Blessings, Debbie

  3. I have been a lean, mean, project machine these past few months too. (Ok, not so much the lean part, and probably too much the mean part, but I have gotten things done. ) I would love to see the fruit of your labor!

  7. It's nice to see that you are so full of creative energy. Please send some my way. Great pictures to tell your story today. What came to mind was that Nero sang as Rome was burning , in your case the girls are playing piano and singing as you burn some creative energy. I know... I'm pathetic.

You are way ahead of me on Christmas gifts... I haven't even thought about Halloween yet.
    Happy Weekend,
    Hugs.

  9. Oh my, autumn has worked its magic on you! And look at those gorgeous photos! I love that first shot, and the autumn garland greeting the autumn leaves outside your window, and the leaves and bright berries on that beautiful piece of furniture.

Now if I could just find myself some energy...

  13. Rose hips! I'm going to go gather some myself! Why didn't I think of that. I used to do it, then I move to the country and completely forget about it! I've been busy canning apples and making applesauce. Can't wait to see some of those hand made gifts. Cindy Bee
