"Let's be cheerful"! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day for our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant & happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right color and texture & the furniture comfortable and beautiful"! Fresh off my needles

I don't know why I was up so late last night.  The only answer can be that one little gnome and one softer than soft hat were tired of living on needles.  It was time to come off.

For Christmas I used a yummy baby alpaca yarn to knit up a scarf for Erin with the idea that I would make an ear warmer to match.  With a time crunch and a glitchy pattern I frogged it for the holiday knowing I would do something for her later.  After seeing this free pattern offered by Amanda at Soulemama I cast on for the rosa hat immediately.  I hadn't even retrieved the pattern from the printer yet!  A fun, fun, easy knit (using a yarn that literally caresses your fingers during the process didn't hurt) that was finished in just a few days with only tidbits of time used in the evening.

Just in time for an ice skating date we have next week.

Did I already use the words soft and yummy?  I could think of so many more adjectives for the feel of this yarn!

She loves it!

Next for the naughty gnome who instead of caressing my fingers actually scraped and cut my tension finger!  Can you even imagine?  I'm not exaggerating.

Blessings,  Debbie
